MARLA MINDELLE

Marla Mindelle is an award-winning actress, writer, composer, and producer whose work has taken her from Broadway to the international stage. She is best known as the co-creator and star of Titanique, the wildly original musical comedy that began as an Off-Broadway cult hit and grew into a global phenomenon. Mindelle co-wrote the show and originated the role of Céline Dion, earning the 2023 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Performer in a Musical. As a co-writer, she also helped the production win the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical and the 2025 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

In 2026, Titanique made its Broadway debut at the St. James Theatre, earning four Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for Mindelle, as well as recognition for her work as a co-producer. The Broadway production marked a major milestone in the show's extraordinary journey, following acclaimed productions in London, Paris, Sydney, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, and São Paulo. With a North American tour launching in 2027, a UK tour on the horizon, and productions planned for the Netherlands and Sweden, Titanique continues to expand its international reach.

In 2024, Mindelle co-created and starred in The Big Gay Jamboree, an irreverent Off-Broadway musical comedy for which she wrote the book, music, and lyrics, skewering Golden Age musical theatre tropes with camp, heart, and a contemporary sensibility. Her Broadway credits include Sister Act, for which she received an Outer Critics Circle nomination, and Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella. She has also appeared in South Pacific and toured nationally in The Drowsy Chaperone. On screen, she played Olivia in the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Special and appeared in the filmed feature I Play Rocky. Mindelle has also sold multiple film and television projects with her longtime writing partner, Jonathan Parks-Ramage.
